In A Nutshell

As an ENSEK Project Manager (PM), you are the driving force behind the success of our projects and programmes. As such you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of your assigned project from start-up, through to execution and close-down, to the required standard of quality and within specified constraints of time and costs. As a PM, this role is all about project delivery, getting the best out of people and delivering value to our clients, so it’s not just about updating project plans and project administration.


In Professional Services Delivery we want to be a trusted delivery partner for clients and ENSEK alike. You’ll be working with a wide range of energy industry clients, from Tier 1 to smaller scale start-ups, so well-honed stakeholder skills are essential. A PM will need to take ownership for and co-ordinate the end-to-end delivery with the support of the wider team.


The work is incredibly varied and it's a role that that means you get to interact with just about everyone in the business. As a key member within ENSEK’s Professional Services Function, you’ll be expected to forge trusted and productive working relationships across all business functions, promote and implement best practice, whilst identifying and driving any opportunities for continuous improvement. Having a focus on revenue generation for ENSEK, protecting profit margins and increasing value add through other ENSEK offerings would also be a key requirement for this role.

Responsibilities

  1. Full project lifecycle ownership, from inception to deployment and handover to BAU support.
  2. Client leadership through the project, providing expert guidance, advice and negotiation where required.
  3. Cost estimating and budget management.
  4. Construction of detailed work plans coupled with activity and resource planning.
  5. Communication of progress across all key internal and external stakeholders
  6. Working with the wider ENSEK teams to deliver projects creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  7. Providing delivery updates to both senior level client stakeholders and executive level internal stakeholders.
  8. Effective management and mitigation of delivery risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
  9. Working with the team to establish and continually improve best practice to expand and mature the delivery capability of the organisation.
  10. Adding value to the experience of our clients, colleagues and other relevant stakeholders through practicing and promoting the ENSEK values
  11. Identifying new revenue channel opportunities for ENSEK whilst simultaneously maintaining current revenue generation channels

Key Skills

  1. Knowledge of the Energy industry is desirable.
  2. Strong IT skills.
  3. Ability to motivate, encourage and manage others.
  4. Experience of leading projects involving 3rd party vendors.
  5. Experience of delivering Agile SaaS projects is ideal but not essential.
  6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal and ability to tailor to the audience.
  7. Practised relationship management skills to develop and nurture relationships with clients, vendors and team members alike.
  8. Entrepreneurial mind-set and a good problem-solver, with a structured approach to formulate the best outcome.
  9. Ability to keep calm when dealing with ambiguity or uncertainty.
  10. Strong negotiation skills are essential when dealing with clients and internal teams, to deliver in line with expectations.
  11. Hands-on, willing to roll their sleeves up to do what is necessary and the ability to juggle the many demands on time.
